Small Animals Flotation
Diagnostic flotation kit for the examination of the faeces for parasites in small animals with the proven flotation method, which brings the highest hit rates even with lower parasite infestation.
The active fine filtration process and BioFlot® gave this flotation process new diagnostic dimensions with many advantages. The environmentally friendly, completely non-toxic, flotation medium BioFlot®, newly developed by Biosepar, does not contain any heavy metals, phosphates, sulfates or nitrates and has a high specific weight of 1.3, which reliably detects and floats all parasites. There are no disposal problems, the morphology remains unchanged for a long time, which means that the laboratory can examine the samples independently of time. It is possible to integrate an additional sedimentation step with this kit. Due to sedimentation, this „cleaning step” can occasionally bring better results for some fecal samples.
The use of BioFlot®, with the active fine filtration in the vertical direction, this standardized and reproducible ParasiTrap® flotation method always offers a very high sensitivity with optimal hit rates. The microscopic slides are clean. All larvae, protozoa and worm eggs can be found quickly and remain morphologically in their original state for a long time.
